Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Bytevert handles information in connection with our online image conversion tool (the “Service”). We have built the Service to be private by design: the images you convert are processed entirely on your own device and are never sent to us.

The short version

  • Your images are converted locally in your browser. They are never uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on our servers.
  • We have no user accounts, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
  • The only personal information we receive is what you choose to send us through the optional Feedback form.

1. Images you convert

All image conversion happens client-side, inside your web browser, using standard browser technologies. When you add an image to the converter, it is read into your browser’s memory and re-encoded into your chosen format on your device. The converted files are made available for download directly from your browser.

Your original images and converted files are never uploaded to our servers, never transmitted to any third party, and never stored by us. They remain in your browser’s memory only while the page is open and are discarded when you close or refresh the tab.

2. Information you provide through the Feedback form

If you use the optional Feedback form, you may choose to send us:

  • Your feedback message (required to submit the form);
  • Your email address (optional, so we can reply); and
  • Screenshots or images you attach (optional).

Feedback submissions are delivered to us using a third-party email delivery service, Resend, which transmits your submission to our email inbox. Please only include personal information in your feedback that you are comfortable sharing. For details on how Resend processes data, see the Resend privacy policy.

3. Information collected automatically

We do not run our own analytics or tracking on the Service. However, like virtually all websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information in server logs — such as your IP address, browser type and version, referring page, and the date and time of requests. This information is used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service, and is not used to identify you personally.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The Service does not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or profiling. You can convert images without an account and without accepting any cookies. Any browser storage that may be used is strictly functional and is limited to making the tool work.

5. How we use information

We use the limited information described above only to:

  • Respond to your feedback, questions, or support requests;
  • Diagnose bugs and improve the Service; and
  • Operate, maintain, and protect the security and integrity of the Service.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

6. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal information on the following legal bases: your consent when you voluntarily submit the Feedback form; and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service (for example, maintaining server logs). You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.

7. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the Service, namely our hosting provider and Resend (which delivers your feedback to us). These providers process information on our behalf.
  • Legal and safety reasons, if required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.

8. Data retention

Because images are processed entirely in your browser, we do not retain them at all. We retain feedback submissions (including any email address and attachments you provide) only for as long as necessary to address your feedback and for our reasonable record-keeping, after which they are deleted. Server logs kept by our hosting provider are retained for a limited period in accordance with the provider’s standard practices.

9. International data transfers

Our hosting provider and Resend may process information in countries other than the one in which you reside, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers. By using the Feedback form, you understand your submission may be processed in these locations.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict its use; to object to processing or withdraw consent; and to data portability. Residents of the EEA/UK may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority. Residents of California and certain other U.S. states have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights; note that we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in the “Contact us” section below. We will respond as required by applicable law.

11. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Security

Because your images never leave your device, they are not exposed to the risks associated with uploading files to a server. For the limited information we do receive (such as feedback), we and our service providers use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Third-party links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not operate. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here, and your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
